Webalo doesn’t affect any back-end infrastructure. It simply connects to it. It can send information back and forth and let users invoke existing enterprise application functionality, but it doesn’t change APIs, add middleware, or modify code. That’s because, controlled by our patented User Proxy Service, the backend and front end (device) elements don’t communicate directly. The User Proxy Service relies on its proprietary algorithms to transform backend data into device displays that conform – automatically – to the UI of users’ Android, Apple, BlackBerry, or Windows smartphones and tablets.

Mobile access through Webalo relies on existing Active Directory and LDAP permission-based security protocols (which you already use for desktop and laptop access), so there are none of the security risks associated with standalone mobile apps. Transmission between the enterprise and devices is encrypted for additional protection and, for maximum security, data can be set to be non-persistent, removing everything when users log off. For additional protection, Webalo connects directly to Enterprise Mobility Management tools from Aruba, Citrix, Good Technologies, MobileIron, Symantec, and others to authorize and authenticate mobile users and devices and ensure compliance with mobile policies and procedures.
