Management Team

Peter Price

Co-founder & CEO

Peter brings over 25 years of technology industry management and leadership experience to Webalo. He has successfully served as a founder and/or senior executive leading the financing, building and sale of four early stage technology companies. His extensive business operations experience spans all of the major global software markets.

In 1984, he co-founded Expertech, a European developer of expert system software and, in 1990, he managed the acquisition of Expertech by Inference, a U.S. provider of artificial intelligence and knowledge management tools for the self-service, customer service and help desk industries. In July 1995, he was a member of the Management Committee that organized Inference's successful IPO.

In 1996 he joined Limbex, developer of the award winning WebCompass product, an end-user tool for acquiring and managing Internet information. He participated in its sale to Quarterdeck later that year and, in 1997, he co-founded TriVida, the leading provider of networked personalization and predictive analytics software, which was provided as a hosted service, He then managed the firm’s acquisition by Be Free (NASDAQ: VCLK) in 2000.

Rob Edenzon

VP Sales

For more than 24 years, Rob has managed sales organizations large and small at firms as diverse as Overture/Yahoo!, the search engine giant, and Inference Corporation, an artificial intelligence pioneer, where he established the company’s first Value Added Reseller program.

At Baker & Taylor, Rob increased the company’s profit margins by 30% before being asked to oversee the $20 million Affiliate Marketing division of the firm. When he moved to Ticketmaster Online CitySearch, he created a viable sales organization in only six weeks, turned around the company’s worst region to make it number one in the country, and hired and trained more than 200 sales representatives in 25 cities in under nine months.

As VP of Sales at TriVida, Rob helped create the demand for the firm’s networked personalization and predictive analytics technology, helping to make it attractive to BeFree, which acquired it.

Now, at Webalo, he rejoins many of his former Inference and TriVida colleagues to help drive business development and revenue growth.

John Emerson

VP Support

John has over 33 years of experience in software engineering for the mobile enterprise software, financial services and aerospace industries.

Previously, at Webalo, John was a Software Architect. As a member of the development team, he worked chiefly on the development of the iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry Webalo apps.

Prior to joining Webalo, John worked at Investment Technology Group (ITG), an equity brokerage firm. At ITG, he held various software management positions, which included 1) VP Software Development, responsible for the delivery of "desk software" for ITG's trading desk, 2) SVP Software Development, responsible for ITG's Architecture and Tools Group, and 3) Director Software Development, responsible for Market Data. In the last two positions, John’s responsibilities included 24x7 support of large production systems.

John, who holds a Master's in Computer Science and a Bachelor's in Chemistry, both from UCLA, started his engineering career at Hughes Aircraft Company. At Hughes, John developed and then managed the development of satellite simulation and test software.

Prior to Hughes, John taught Mathematics, Chemistry and Computer Science at Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in Santa Monica, CA.

Phil Klahr

VP Customer Success

Phil has spent the majority of his career delivering successful solutions to customers. A mathematics graduate of The University of Michigan, he earned a Masters and Ph.D. in computer science at The University of Wisconsin. For the next ten years with funding from the Department of Defense, Phil applied his research skills in the field of artificial intelligence to develop rule-based and object-oriented technology and applications.

For the past 25 years, Phil’s focus has been on delivering successful customer deployments, delivering value to major corporations (including American Express, AT&T, Ford, HP, Reuters, SBC, Xerox) and government agencies (NASA, U.S. Air Force). In 1986, Phil joined Inference Corporation to manage the development and delivery of commercial knowledge-based systems, six of which won awards from the American Association for Artificial Intelligence for their use of innovative technology and for providing significant business benefits. In 1998, Phil joined TriVida to manage and deliver successful customer solutions in networked personalization.

Phil has published two books and over fifty articles. He was been interviewed on NBC and CNN and delivered presentations in over 20 countries. He was elected as a Fellow by the American Association of Artificial Intelligence for lifetime contributions in applying AI techniques to solve real business problems.

Ayman Mahfouz

VP Engineering

Ayman has over 16 years of experience in software development and technology leadership. He worked and studied on three continents and successfully built and grew cross-cultural teams. During his career, he designed, developed, and delivered several successful enterprise solutions and has served as principal engineer and software architect at several startups. At Zeborg Ayman helped build a B2B procurement platform that was acquired by Emptoris and then by IBM. After that, Ayman joined ClickAction, where he built an email marketing management product that got acquired by Infogroup, Inc. and then merged with Yesmail. His most recent appointment, prior to joining Webalo in 2004, was as the development team lead at Intersperse, Inc., creating an innovative IT infrastructure management platform that was acquired by Cisco.

Ayman’s industry experience is backed by solid formal education. He holds a BSc in computer science from the University of Alexandria, Egypt, and he earned his Ph.D. in software engineering at the OU in Milton Keynes, UK. He has also published a number of articles in leading software engineering magazines and conferences.

Lora Mekikian

VP Finance

Lora Mekikian has over 13 years managing the accounting and finance activities of enterprise software technology companies. Prior to joining Webalo, Lora was a founding member of InQuira, Inc., a leader in intelligent search enterprise software. Lora helped InQuira grow to be an international $50M annual revenue company with 200+ employees. She was a key contributor to the successful sale of InQuira to Oracle in September 2011.

Lora started her career at Ernst & Young LLP in their business management group. She holds a masters in Business Taxation from University of Southern California and a bachelors in accounting from Woodbury University.

Lew Roth

VP Business Development.

Lew Roth has spent 25 years in customer-facing roles for leading edge software and professional services companies.

Before joining Webalo, he was the Executive VP at Partners 1993, an engineering services practice in the custom mobile applications market. Tripling services revenue over three years, his team delivered hundreds of successful custom mobile solutions for brands, carriers, and device manufacturers in mobile security, mobile video, retail, photo management, and unified communications.

Earlier, Lew played key roles in startup companies as VP Business Development at Veoh Networks, a consumer internet video service; Director, Business Development at X1 Technologies, developer of the first desktop search technology; as VP Market Development for Facetime’s IM Auditor in financial services; and as the head of Customer Services at TriVida.

Lew, who holds a Doctorate in Metallurgical Engineering, started his career in software development at Inference Corporation where he managed a 40 person consulting department.
